About Janet Miles Manship
Janet grew up in New Palestine and graduated from New Palestine High School in 1989. Her parents, Buck (deceased) and Sandy Miles, instilled in their family the importance of hard work, respect, and dedication. Janet’s roots in Hancock County run deep — her sister, Jacki Hoffman, her brother, Jeff Miles, and her mother remain lifelong residents of the community, and her younger brother, Joe Miles, remains closely connected to the community.
Janet Miles Manship is a lifelong Hancock County resident and practicing attorney with more than 30 years of legal experience. She is committed to fairness, integrity, and the careful, impartial application of the law, bringing a thoughtful and principled approach to every case.

Janet has been married to her husband, Jay Manship, for over 25 years. Jay is also a lifelong Hancock County resident and retired from the Fishers Fire Department after 27 years of service. Public service runs deep in the Manship family — Janet’s mother-in-law Margie Manship served more than 20
years as Fortville Town Clerk, and her father-in-law Alan “Hootie Pop” Manship served over 20 years in law enforcement and more than 30 years as a volunteer firefighter.
